Our steering team includes 3 scientists, 3 polymer engineers, 4 chemical engineers, 2 IT and IP experts, several LMOP landfill experts, and many other friendly, good-natured individuals.

* There are about 2,600 landfills in the United States, with more than half closed. Most landfills are owned by municipalities, some are privately held, and all follow EPA regulations and requirements. Over 530 landfills have LMOP (Landfill Methane Outreach Program) partners, benefitting over 85% of the U.S. population. Another 450 landfills are considered excellent candidates for future LMOP partnerships. LMOP landfills capture escaping methane (renewable biogas and RNG). It is used for energy, heating, cooling, fueling vehicles, industrial processes, and electricity. Emerging technologies use this renewable resource to make chemicals, fertilizers, and high-performance plastics.
